it feels like the negative white space in the hilt and the blade is too small or becomes too thin. get rid of the negative space in the hilt entirely and maybe make the white space in the blade less long to thicken it up a bit.

I agree with making the sword solid black. Also maybe make it look a little less tribal? Don't get flight or flying so much...

what happened to the sword rocket?
Looking good, its hard not to make that look like the ARMY special forces or the SAS insignia, I'm sure it'll be wicked by the final design.
This looks too much like a tribal tattoo to me, they don't really read as wings. I liked the rocket sword idea.
